Energy Star says \u2014 and we agree \u2014 for optimal cooling and energy efficiency, the coolest you should keep your house is 78\u00b0 F\u2026that\u2019s only when you\u2019re at home and awake. A programmable or Wi-Fi thermostat makes it easy to match these cooling setting with your schedule. Even so, you can still make the adjustments manually if you desire or if you don\u2019t have a programmable model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
