- It’s over 15 years old: it is starting to wear out

- Your energy bills keep increasing: the HVAC accounts for half of your utility bills. A higher efficiency system will pay for itself in time with lower utility bills.
- The air conditioning runs constantly: it can no longer keep up
Repair if:
- It is less than 10 years old: many parts may still be under warranty
- The repair is less than $500-$800
- You will not be staying in the house for much longer
